The National Antique Tractor Pullers Association, Inc. (NATPA) was formed in November, 1995, and chartered in January, 1996, as a non-profit organization to enter, sponsor, promote and organize the recreational activity of antique tractor pulling. One objective of the NATPA is to make rules for competition and safety that will allow for standardization of antique tractor pulling across the United States.
Several NATPA sanctioned regional pulls are held each winter where pullers may get qualified to pull at the National Championship Pull. These pulls all operate under the NATPA Rules and the rules are strictly enforced. Members only are allowed to participate in the NATPA point system and at the Annual National Championship Pull. You do not need to be a member to pull at the regional pulls.
Membership in the NATPA is open to any person who is willing to support and abide by the Code of Regulations and Code of Conduct of the NATPA.
Annual membership rates are:
– NATPA Puller $60 (Full voting rights)
– Tractor Registration $15 per tractor
– NATPA Promoter $60 (Full voting rights)
– Social Member $40 (No voting rights)
The NATPA now has 6 divisions with rules adopted for each division. These divisions allow each puller a choice that best suits his/her tractor’s capabilities for the investment he/she wishes to make. Please see the Rules Section for up-to-date rules of the NATPA.
